A big thank you to all who turned out to the Pawty & Play 2024 Fundraiser to support our mission!

Baja Dogs Sterilizations hosted its annual Pawty & Play fundraiser on April 10th, 2024, at the San Juan Social Club in La Paz, and the event was a huge success! 115 people attended the event, which raised over $25,000 USD in donations through ticket sales, raffle prizes, a live auction, and more. A big thanks to all who came out to support the event, including all who donated auction and raffle prizes, our attendees, and all the volunteers who donated their time to make the event a success. Special thanks to San Juan Social Club for donating the event space, the band, Blue Azul, who donated the music, and Tacos La Neta and Master Churros Gourmet for the amazing food. And of course a huge thanks to our veterinary partners, Dr. Fernando and his team of Baja Pet's, and Dr. Mario and his team at Clínica Veterinaria El Centenario, and Dr. Alan at Clínica Veterinaria Ortiz for their tireless commitment and work to help us sterilize dogs.

The donations will be used to support the organization's mission to reduce the overpopulation of abandoned pets by bringing free sterilization campaigns to underserved communities throughout La Paz, BCS, Mexico. While the campaigns are free to attendees, they cost around $5,000 USD a month to operate, with an average of around 100-150 dogs a month sterilized. That means the funds raised from the event will help pay for approximately 5 months of sterilization campaigns.

Use of the event space was donated by San Juan Social Club/San Juan Club Deportivo, a local event venue and sports club that recently built 12 new pickleball courts to serve the community's growing interest in the sport.

Around 30-40 players showed up to play, and several got their first introduction to the sport, courtesy of club member volunteers who helped with instruction.
