Sterilizations Completed to Date
Helping Animals. Helping People.
Baja Dogs Sterilizations is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that brings free pet sterilization services to underserved communities in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. We are passionate about our goal of working with local communities to reduce the overpopulation of abandoned street dogs through our pet sterilization campaigns. We recognize that we are all part of a community, and by bringing these services to local neighborhoods, we aim to help improve the lives of both the families and their pets.
Our mission: to be a positive force for change. Helping animals. Helping people. Won't you join us?
Help Us Help Them.
It has been estimated that La Paz has approximately 50,000 stray dogs living on the street. Sterilization helps us break the cycle and prevent unwanted litters from being born and abandoned. Thanks to our supporters, Baja Dogs has sterilized over 6,000 pets to date. To help us continue this important work, please consider making a monthly donation. Just $30 USD sterilizes one pet. Together, we can break the cycle of suffering and make sure all dogs are wanted, cared for, and loved.
Our Sterilization Campaigns
We partner with local, licensed veterinarians who are as passionate as we are about ending the cycle of animal suffering through sterilization and education. Each month, we bring our sterilization campaigns to neighborhoods in and around La Paz wherever the need is greatest. We often sterilize over 100 animals in a single day. Together, we are committed to ending the cycle of suffering by addressing the problem at the source.
Communities We Serve
It is a common misconception that the local families who live here in La Paz don't care about their pets. We challenge you to keep an open mind and learn what we have seen firsthand: These families love their pets. They simply cannot afford to get them sterilized and prevent more unwanted births. On campaign day, our roster is typically full. Families eagerly make their appointments in advance. All wait anxiously to bring their pets home after the surgery is done. The love they feel for their pets is real. Don't judge. Join us, and help us make their world a better place.
