183 dogs sterilized in November, bringing our total to 2,575 pets sterilized to date.
Baja Dogs La Paz continues to bring free sterilization services to underserved neighborhoods in La Paz, bCS, with 183 dogs sterilized in November. That brings our total number of dogs sterilized to date to 2,575! We held our largest campaign this month in cooperation with FANLAP, where 64 dogs were sterilized, thanks to our wonderful veterinary partners Dr. Fernando of Baja Pet's and Dr. Mario of Clinica Veterinaria El Centenario, along with our amazing team of volunteers. This is the third campaign we have held with FANLAP at their facility, and will not be our last as dogs are often abandoned in this neighborhood, which is close to the La Paz city dump.
In addition to the FANLAP campaign, our veterinary partner, Dr. Mario and his team from Clinica Veterinaria El Centenario, brought an on-site mini campaign to a fisherman's camp on the beach in San Juan de La Costa, just north of La Paz, where 16 dogs and 3 cats were sterilized.
Finally, we were also invited to host a mini campaign at a local La Paz area school, El Jardin de Ninos, where 37 dogs were sterilized. The teachers and students presented us with a thank you message and also created this amazing poster:
