An Irish band, Tony Cummins, played at the event, which was hosted at a private residence in La Jolla, California.

Two $500 auction prizes were donated, including this hand carved platter, utensils, glass and homemade smoked fish.

One hundred percent of the funds will be used to fund Baja Dogs' pet sterilization campaigns, which bring free sterilization services to underserved communities in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. Working with our local veterinary partners, the cost of a single pet sterilization is around $25 USD. That means Baja Dogs can now fund over 800 pet sterilizations as a result of our donors' generosity. While that is a huge help to these communities, the $22,000 raised will cover about 5 months of sterilization expenses. It is estimated that a single unspayed female dog and her puppies can produce as many as 67,000 dogs in just six years. Baja Dogs has raised a total of $38,236 USD so far this year and has sterilized over 1,800 pets. You can view a video about Baja Dogs' sterilization campaigns here:
