OUR HISTORY Since our inception in 2008 Baja Dogs La Paz, Inc., has dedicated its mission to improving the welfare of dogs in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. For many years, we focused our efforts on helping local rescuers find loving, permanent homes for their foster dogs. While the people involved have changed over the years, we never lost sight of our mission to improve the welfare and situation of La Paz’s most vulnerable pets.
SHIFTING OUR FOCUS TO STERILIZATION In November of 2021, we shifted our focus from rescue and adoption to providing free sterilization services to underserved communities throughout La Paz, BCS, Mexico. With an estimated 50,000 or more stray dogs throughout La Paz, we recognized that, unless we addressed the problem at the source, those numbers would only continue to grow. Our volunteers on the ground have done a great job these past two years and have sterilized over 3900 dogs! These sterilization campaigns will now go forward as Baja Dogs Sterilizations.
THANK YOU To our original founders, and to all of our loyal friends, donors, volunteers and supporters over the years, we offer our most heartfelt thanks. Together, we made a huge difference in the lives of so many wonderful dogs and families. As a 100% volunteer organization, we literally could not have done it without you. THANK YOU!!
