This November 30th, Baja Dogs La Paz will kick off our #GivingTuesday campaign, and we need your help to make it a success! The campaign will run from November 30th until the end of December. To donate, simply fill out the donation form on this page.
GivingTuesday is described as a "global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world." Scheduled for the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, GivingTuesday is a special day when nonprofits around the world raise money for important causes. An astonishing $2.47 billion was donated to U.S. nonprofits by a reported 34.8 million people on GivingTuesday, December 1, 2020, according to Giving Tuesday, Inc., the nonprofit behind the movement and eponymous hashtag -- #GivingTuesday. That amount, described as a “massive swell of generosity”, reflected a 29% increase in donations compared to 2019.
We at Baja Dogs La Paz, Inc., are so grateful for the support of our generous supporters. Last year, our GivingTuesday campaign raised $4,456 USD. On November 30th, 2021, we will launch this year's GivingTuesday campaign, with a goal of raising $5,000. That amount will enable us to sterilize 200 local family pets here in La Paz!
Earlier this year, we kicked off our sterilization program to help local La Paz families keep and care for their pets, and to help mitigate the core problem of pet overpopulation here in La Paz. We are so pleased to share with you that, with your help, our spay/neuter program has so far this year spent $20,225 spent to sterilize 809 animals! That includes both dogs and cats.
It is vital that we continue this mission to support La Paz's local families and communities, who care deeply about their pets, and to reduce unwanted generations of pets being born to the streets. Won't you help us reach our goal of raising $5,000 to sterilize 200 pets?
